Power of One Campaign
Susan Funk is the Teacher Extraordinaire who developed this initiative
Teach your students what it is like to not have a voice. The Power of One initiative was developed by Susan Funk, teacher at KLO Middle School in Kelowna, BC.
Students raise pledges to take a vow of silence for one full school day (Susan even taught her classes without speaking!) and then celebrate with an afterschool event. Each student not only learns amazing lessons, they each receive a Nepalese scarf and lasting memories.
For busy teachers 90% of the work is done for you. all necessary forms, letters and information are prepared in a "Power of One" package and CD.
